The recoding the prototyping screens is one of the basic features. So many tools in the market are providing this feature as a builtin.

However, I am curious that Framer hasn’t had this in the tool itself since the Framer Classic. Like me, a few people are expecting this feature and have requested to Framer.

I don’t know yet when Framer has this feature, until that day I am using my 3 ways and would like to share them.

Quicktime Screen Recording

This is for recording as a video file. All Macbook has this Quicktime program as a preloaded application so this is free. But I need to drag to make the area for which I want to record so this is not easy to handle.

The resulting file is GIF. Many designers are now using this app to make GIFs for their works to upload to the popular design website.

Android Studio Record a video

This is so complicated and advanced but very accurate in terms of resolution. I need to export the Framer-X result as the Web Preview and open the web file in an Android phone. By using Android Studio, I can record the screen and save it as an MP4 file. Of course, they might use the other screen record app.

Okay, let’s try these ways and wait for Framer to add this feature.
